Rogue Community College – Table Rock
The Rogue Community College project was installed in White City Oregon at the Table Rock Campus with the new Health Professions Building. As a public agency, the college was required to install renewable energy on public works projects exceeding $1M. The college had previously developed a district-wide solar study to determine the solar capability for each campus. The Table Rock Campus in White City was determined to have the greatest solar capacity and it made sense for the college to use a PV system to meet the public works requirement on the new Health Professions Center.
A carport system was chosen because it was believed to be easier to access and maintain than a rooftop system. The added bonus of shaded parking during the hot summers was a value added bonus.
“The installation process was prompt and the finish product is a robust structure that will last for many years. The final product also compliments the intended design of the RCC Health Professions Center.”
