The Delray Tire Project was installed at Delray Tire in Fresno, CA. This 27kW single cantilever commercial carport is part of a larger solar system including several roof mounted arrays. The addition of the solar carport was able to increase the square footage available to the facility in order to achieve their power generation goals. These goals would have otherwise been unobtainable. This solar carport was hot-dipped galvanized to ASTM-123 specifications. Delray Tire chose to take advantage of the many possible branding opportunity options available with the Solar Wraps™. By adding laser cut and back-lit logos to the columns, a strong brand presence is associated with the installation.
The installation of this project highlights the flexibility of the SoL FasT™ Method. Due to property line restrictions, stand locations had to be adjusted. In order to avoid damaging the facility and encroaching on the neighbors property both stands were placed on the canopy side of the column. Despite changing the original locations, the stands successfully supported the structure to the designated measurements for installation. Due to the flexibility of the system the project was able to take full advantage of of the installation speed offered by utilizing the SoL FasT™ Method.
This solar support structure is projected to outlast the modules installed. It will provide increased property value and increased ROI due to the investment-grade nature of the structure. Delray Tire has secured their energy independence, as well as protection against volatile energy prices.
